Performs general clerical and reception duties. Enters patient data to the registration system and verifies insurance and/or third party coverage. Schedules, confirms, and cancels patient appointments. Serves as preceptor and lead for other Admit Workers in the clinic. Required Qualifications: Ability to effectively read, write and speak EnglishDemonstrated effective written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrievalDemonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scannerDemonstrated experience using multi-line telephone systemAbility to make simple calculations and perform simple mathAbility to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience working with TDS, Signature, IDXBilingual in English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese (certain clinics may require this qualification)Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminologyDemonstrated experience working in a hospital or medical office settingDemonstrated knowledge of insurance programs and/or government programsDemonstrated experience working in registration, scheduling and/or authorization process Physical, Mental, & Environmental DemandsTo comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 the essential physical, mental and environmental requirements for this job are listed below.
