Job Description Summary

Research Specialist C will be responsible for creating and maintaining various mouse models for the study of adverse pregnancy outcomes including preterm birth. Colony maintenance, breeding, preforming survival surgeries and tissue harvesting will be the main duties for this position. The candidate must have significant experience working with mice and performing animal related experiments. Experience with mouse handing and breeding is necessary. Experience with survival surgery is preferred. Training to perform our specific models will be taught. The incumbent must be highly organized, maintain animal/tissue databases and be able to effectively meet the animal needs for multiple projects. The candidate should be technically outstanding and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills. Candidate should be proficient in using computer based systems including and not limited to Excel, Word, and databases. Must have the ability to work independently and with others is critical.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
