Physical Requirements

Regularly requires sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and repetitive motions. May occasionally require standing or walking with objects up to 25 lbs.; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and over 50 lbs.; exposure to loud noises and temperature extremes, cuts/punctures and risk of injury from equipment on the job; and contact with combative/violent people


Must be able to work three (7A), 12-hour, shifts per week; will also be required to work some weekends and holidays.

Job Summary

The eCAT ICU department at UK Healthcare is seeking a Staff Support Associate II. This position will perform diversified administrative supportive, coordinative, and/or secretarial duties related to the functional and/or operational needs of the eCAT ICU department and department manager.

The Staff Support Associate II will serve as a liaison between eCAT ICU, patients/families, staff, and other departments, and display strong customer service skills as well as personal accountability and initiative.

This position will work within the eCareManager system along with other hospital related systems in order to support the eCAT ICU team.

Responsibilities for the position will range from answering/triaging phone calls, troubleshooting and escalating technical issues, data entry/report retrieval, admit/discharge/census review in the eCM system, ordering supplies, and other clerical/support duties as assigned. Hospital experience and medical terminology/knowledge is preferred.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills and be able to accurately complete routine functions with high attention to detail in a fast-paced, high intensity, professional work environment. In addition the candidate will have a knowledge of medical terminology and have the ability to provide superior customer service.
