Job Description Summary
The Research Specialist B will primarily act as a lab manager and biospecimens technician. The Research Specialist B will be working with the clinical research team to handle, process, store and database human clinical study specimens for various Maternal & Child Health Research Center studies specifically those studies directed by the primary investigator. The candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage large clinical specimen databases with unwavering accuracy. The candidate must be comfortable working with human biospecimens and exemplify good technical skills. Prior experience with human biospecimens is preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong computational skills and be proficient with computer-based systems including but not limited to Word, Excel, STATA, and other online database programs. Ability to work independently and with others is necessary. Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication with the clinical research team and primary investigators is required.

Bachelor's Degree and 1 to 3 years of experience or an equivalent combinations of education and experience required.

Position contingent upon funding.
