Assistant Professor in Education Full-Time Tenure Track Position

Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education

The Elementary and Early Childhood Education Department at The College of New Jersey is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in August, 2021. The successful candidate will fulfill all responsibilities of a full-time faculty member, including teaching undergraduate/graduate courses (day and/or evening courses), supervising student teachers, advising students, and participating in service to the department, school, and/or College.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in education or a related field by the date of initial appointment at TCNJ, at least three years of teaching at the K-6 level, and have a strong commitment to the education of teacher candidates. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in higher education and have experience in one or more of the following: content area literacy, methods for teaching in the inclusive classroom, classroom assessment, urban education, social justice education, environmental sustainability education, or the integration of the arts in K-6 instruction.
