Housing Warehouse Specialist

Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the full-time position with benefits of Housing Warehouse Specialist (Supply Specialist III) in University Housing. The Housing Warehouse Specialist is a full-time staff member who provides direct administrative support for University Housing warehouse operations.

Duties include, but are not limited to: assist the warehouse operations and trades staff in day-to-day warehousing functions; providing warehouse administrative support; tracking maintenance requests; utilizing electronic software solutions and administrative protocols; assisting with requisitioning, ordering, receiving, inventorying, distribution, storage, and reconciliation of supplies; communicating to constituents through interpersonal and electronic methods; organizing and maintaining warehouse files; organizing and documenting warehouse inventory; providing exceptional customer service; researching supplies and vendor services; and supervising student office assistants.

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and one (1) to two (2) years of experience in administrative or warehouse support role including general clerical work; inventory control; purchasing and receiving; and electronic record keeping are required. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required. Experience with multitasking short-term and long-term responsibilities; demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office suite; professional writing and speaking; strong organizational and detail-oriented skills; general math skills; experience with state contracts, surplus, and supply requisitioning are also preferred.

Knowledge of contractual agreements and limitations. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
