This position provides administrative support to the Kimmel School of Construction Management. Interpersonal and technical skills are required for office management, coordinating events and schedules, and maintaining personnel and student records. Good judgment, people skills, and an ability to adjust to changing requirements and requests are essential. Responsibilities include first point of contact for the School, maintaining proper filing systems, processing personnel actions, reporting, creating, and managing office correspondence and communications, coordinating events, meetings and travel, tracking expenditures/commitments and purchasing in Catamart, entering facilities management work orders, entering class schedules (section building in Banner), process and review student degree audits and applications; monitoring, tracking and processing curriculum changes; creating and updating presentations for public information on video monitors using PowerPoint and other presentation software, and requesting and approving space requests using 25Live, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position

Ability to organize tasks and frequently prioritize and reprioritize tasks as they come into the office; must be detail oriented; professional; self-motivated to meet deadlines with minimal supervision; must possess a high degree of proficiency in computer software knowledge such as word processing, presentation and spreadsheet programs; must possess the ability to perform several tasks at once; maintain long-term calendar of report or task due dates from year to year; must possess patience and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats. Knowledge of university procedures and computer software such as Banner (Student & Finance), MyCat, Catamart and 25Live is highly desirable.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Preferred Qualifications

A four-year degree and two years of experience or a two-year degree and four years of experience in a similar capacity preferred. Excellent communication skills, written and oral; excellent people skills; high degree of proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. Preference will be given to applicants knowledgable in University software including Banner and 25Live.
