Morgan Morrow, located at 921 Clay Hill Drive, is looking for an ECU Pirate that is interested in working 10 hours a week as a Health Physics Assistant. The preferred candidate has completed a college physics and calculus with a B or better and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry, biology or environmental health & safety. Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite products, including Word, Excel & Outlook is required. Experience creating diagrams in MS Visio is helpful, but we are more than happy to provide training. We are looking for a self-starter that works well independently and in collaborative environments. The position requires someone that is detail-oriented and enjoys using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Our Health Physics Assistant helps create radiation protective shielding designs, plan reviews and post installation radiation survey (PIRS) reports. Shielding design diagrams are created in MS Visio. Plan reviews and PIRS reports are created in MS Excel and MS Word. This part-time, home-based position has flexible work hours and provides training via video conferencing. The position pays $9.00 per hour with the opportunity to earn more as more experience is gained.

Minimum GPA: 3.0
Preferred Majors: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental health & safety
