The University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology seeks committed Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist for a tenure Assistant/Associate/Full Professor or non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor ranks to teach and practice at UF Health Shands Heart, Vascular, and Neuromedicine Hospital, UF Health Shands Hospital, and Shands Cancer Hospital at the University of Florida, a tertiary care teaching facility located in Gainesville, FL (including tertiary care / Level I Trauma Center / High risk Ob / Comprehensive Stroke Center / Level 4 NICU / Congenital Heart Center / Solid Organ Transplantation / Cancer Center).
Abundant opportunities exist to develop independent and collaborative research as well as innovative education models. Department anesthesiologists practice at UF Health hospitals in Gainesville, Florida, at the University of Florida alongside 90 faculty anesthesiologists, 88 residents, 18 fellows, and 65 CRNA/AAs.

This position requires a M.D. or equivalent, skills in clinical care, ABA certification/eligibility, Cardiothoracic Fellowship and/or Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography certification/eligibility and credentials to obtain a State of Florida physician's license.
