Job Description:

Assist a dentist, dental hygienist, or dental resident in the treatment of pediatric patients as outlined in the State of Florida Dental laws. Assist with portable dental equipment set-up for school-based dental sealant program; assist at chairside providing dental support services; serve as recorder for dental screening and examinations. Work with faculty and staff to insure the delivery of aseptic dental care to patients.

Greet and prepare pediatric patients for treatment. Establish rapport with the patient in order to relieve their anxiety. Maintain daily records and patient charts. Collect patient data pertaining to clinical research. Serve as a liaison for patients needing to be scheduled at the NCEF Pediatric Dental Center due to advanced oral health needs.

Package and sterilize clinical supplies and instruments. Assist in organizing and controlling the use of clinical supplies.

Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$15.45 per hour, commensurate with education/experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Fluent in Spanish. Working knowledge of dental sealants, fluoride varnish, and pediatric dentistry
