Position Summary:

This job posting is for job seekers that are interested in temporary employment working in Front Office Medical/Admitting Worker positions.

UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) continuously seeks applicants that are interested and available to work in Medical Front Office/Admitting Worker roles on temporary assignments at the UC Irvine campus in Irvine, the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange and UCI satellite clinics. We recruit for this position on an on-going basis in order to build a talent pool of potential candidates.

UCI Temporary Employment Services assists in providing temporary staffing throughout the UCI campus, medical center and satellite facilities. There is no need to submit more than one application to temporary jobs within the calendar year. Any given application to UCI Temporary Employment Services will make you an applicant to all temporary recruitments.

Essential Job Functions:

Interviewing patients for admission to UCI Medical Facilities

Determine eligibility and assign pay rates for patients accepted for care in the hospitals and clinics

Making financial arrangements for hospital and clinic patients

Maintaining medical records

Scheduling

Compensation Range:

$19.65 hourly

Required:

One year of general clerical experience or completion of vocational training in the medical front office field

Knowledge of medical terminology

Data entry experience

Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Experience working in customer service environments

Preferred:

Experience working in a medical setting for one year or more

Experience utilizing EPIC

Knowledge of healthcare insurances

Billing and collector experience

The majority of our temporary positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m., however, we also have occasional part-time, weekend and evening hours available. Comprehensive benefits options are also available for temporary employees, including paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.

Some temporary assignments may require clearance of health physical or require a valid California Driver's License for driving university vehicles.
