This position will assist with providing mechanical and/or electrical skills
(troubleshooting, analysis, repairs and both preventive and predictive maintenance) on the complex Steam Distribution System; assist with performing diagnostics, maintenance and repair to critical steam distribution piping, tunnels, hardware, equipment, hot water systems, etc. The position will work with experienced mechanics for all job functions until fully trained. Additionally, they will work closely with other mechanics using the Distributive Control System (DCS) and other equipment and systems unique to Cogeneration Systems. The maintenance practices will ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of this multi-million-dollar facility.

Education and Experience

Minimum Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Requires certification(s).

Special Physical and Mental Requirements

The environmental conditions vary tremendously from air condition and heat to dusty, hot, humid, and cold conditions. This position will be required to work in all conditions for various lengths of time depending on the operational requirements. This position will be required to enter confined spaces or hazardous environments with the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in accordance with established procedures (i.e. respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, safety shoes, uniforms, etc.)
