Florida Atlantic University's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant, Fort Pierce, FL.
The Graduate Research Assistant will participate in husbandry work (feeding and maintaining fish, collecting samples, etc.) and laboratory work (sample analysis) and evaluate the maternal dietary effect of Florida pompano on offspring survival, development and nutrient (i.e. Fatty acid transfer). Physiological, biochemical and omics parameters will be evaluated to accomplish the objectives of this study.Minimum Qualifications:Graduate student seeking a degree (accepted to or currently enrolled) in Marine Science and Oceanography, Biological Sciences or Environmental Science with a minimum of five credit hours (or nine if international) and a minimum 3.0 GPA required.
Must have an interest in aquaculture, fish biology, genomics, or biochemistry.
Ability to work outside regular hours when necessary.
