Ability to execute biochemical and cell-based bioassays using modern cell and molecular biology techniques and/or preclinical mouse studies including husbandry and tissue harvest. In both cases, expertise in immunoassays and PCR is required. The position will be in a translational drug discovery team and initially be focused on targets associated with Alzheimer's disease and diabetes.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Cell biology and bioassay construction and assay validation suitable for rigorous drug screening assays OR  work on mouse model of drug action in mice treated with high fat diet and other mouse models of human disease.
  • Use of modern cell and molecular biology, immunocytochemistry, fluorescence, FRET, BRET, AlphaScreen, AlphaLisa, CETSA, SPR, ITC, CRISPR techniques in drug discovery and assay development OR in vivo analysis, tissue immunohistochemistry, preparation of primary cells, tissue and plasma analysis.
  • Report writing; recording and submission of lab protocols for institutional approval; instrument maintenance; lab management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Up to 1 year of relevant work experience may be required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
