We value the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty and staff of diverse backgrounds.The Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking to recruit dynamic candidates to expand its clinical practice within our Consultative section The position is full-time faculty, with the opportunity for academic promotion, which is determined on criteria of demonstrated excellence in the areas of education, research, clinical care, and community service. Rank is determined based on knowledge and experience. The position is located at the brand new UCHealth Cherry Creek Medical Center and will operated primarily in the community setting as part of the UCHealth affiliated health system. Hours will be dependent on business need (i.e., patient volume, schedules, research study needs). About Cherry Creek:Cherry Creek is located in the center of Denver and is a mixture of urban development and tree-lined residential streets. It is one of the most sought after places to live in Colorado. Living in Cherry Creek offers residents an urban feel, and most residents own their homes. The area is home to some of the best restaurants, coffee shops, and parks- all within walking distance. We are the premier research university in Colorado, serving more than 30,000 undergraduate, graduate and health professions students in Denver, Aurora and online and awarding nearly 4,000 degrees each year. The renowned researchers and award-winning faculty offer more than 100-degree programs through 13 colleges and schools. In the 2017-2018 fiscal year, the University’s School of Medicine was awarded more than $516.2 million in research grants and contracts. The Anschutz Medical Campus includes over 5 million square feet of research, educational and clinical space on 227 acres. Job Responsibilities: The duties in this faculty position will primarily include service responsibilities. The overall determination of clinical activities and allocation of time and effort will be subject to the determination of the Section Head. Clinical duties may include responsibilities at the faculty-level for in-patient / out-patient services as well as consultations, and emergency consultation of the Neurology Department. While on service, obligations will include supervision of patient procedures and teaching of the house-staff.Administrative responsibilities will include data entry into hospital systems, development of critical pathways, committee work and projects aimed at improving the specialty and department mission. - Applicants must be Board Certified or eligible to be board certified before start dateA State of Colorado medical license and DEA license must be obtained on or before hire date
- Completed fellowship training in a Neurological specialtyAdditional board certifications eligibility
