The Enrollment Counselor is a member of the Enrollment Services Team and is responsible for providing information, coaching, and assistance to prospective students, families and secondary counselors on the academic, financial, curricular, and co-curricular offerings of LSCPA. They are also the face of LSCPA representing the college at high school and community events. Other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree or higher is required. Requires one year’s experience providing effective college counseling, recruiting, or student service related area in higher education. (Related student work and/or internship experience will be considered for this position). Requires valid driver’s license or ability to acquire one prior to employment start date.
Must have an understanding of student recruitment, student learning, career development, and other relevant theories in education, social sciences, and humanities.
Must be a multi-task oriented individual with an appreciation for working within deadlines.
Knowledge of personal computer and various software, including Excel and Appointment Plus. Must be proficient in the use of social media including Facebook, Instagram, twitter, email, text messaging, video capture, etc.
Must have excellent communication skills, including public speaking.
Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to deal with prospective students, families, faculty and staff in professional manner.
Must be able to demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
Able to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments.
Able to establish effective working relationships with others.
Able to follow established college policies and procedures.
