A part-time administrative assistant is sought to serve an outreach program within the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources beginning in September 2020. Responsibilities consist primarily of customer response, data entry, deposit processing, record management, materials/supply inventory and order, mailing operation management, and website/e-media updates. The administrative assistant will commit to a minimum of 12 hours per week in 4 hour or more blocks of time with a regular and consistent weekly schedule and start times.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesPhysical Demands
•Regularly work in an office environment, sitting at a desk for 4- to 8-hour days.
•Occasionally lift 40 pounds and/or transport supplies with a cart or hand truck.
•Occasionally carry out repetitive, manual tasks such as assembling mailers or information packets, collating workshop supplies, and assembling hardhats for extended periods time.

Clerical Administration. Collect and maintain records for registrations and applications. Consolidates and posts information in established standard or electronic filing systems. Performs computerized accounts payable/receivable functions, including payment processing. Prepare/manage office supply orders and other purchase requests, mailing, and printing orders. Program Communications. Respond (phone and email) to program participants in order answer questions, resolve problems, answer questions, and clarify policies regarding the program. Prepare routine correspondence and create forms, fliers, newsletters, and other unique typing jobs; review material for proper format, grammar, continuity, date, time, place, and punctuation to ensure final document is complete, accurate, and ready for timely distribution.Percentage of time40Duties/Responsibilities
