Hofstra University is a dynamic community of more than 11,000 students from around the world who are dedicated to civic engagement, academic excellence and becoming leaders in their communities and their careers.Description:Hofstra University’s Department of Biology is seeking applicants for a full-time non-tenure track Special Assistant Professor position for Spring 2021 semester (February 1 – May 31, 2021) with the potential for reappointment for the 2021-22 academic year.Qualifications:Preferred candidates will have considerable experience teaching introductory biology lecture and laboratory courses to majors (subjects include introductory cell biology and genetics). Experience teaching general microbiology is preferred. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline of biology. The new faculty member will collaborate with other instructors in reviewing, improving and maintaining the curriculum for these courses.
