Job Summary

The Office of the Vice President for Research is seeking a talented and motivated administrative staff member who can provide support for the Diversity and Inclusion Research Priority Area-UNITE (United in True Racial Equity). This full-time position, grade 43, will begin in early to mid October 2020.

We are seeking an organized, reliable, detail-oriented, responsive, and collaborative professional that values racial equity. The new position will provide administrative, financial, and faculty support for UNITE Research Priority Area. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to promote the activities of UNITE by coordinating programming and advertising opportunities, monitoring program announcements, and organizing the responses to those announcements. This position will act as a liaison for UNITE by coordinating campus outreach to RPA membership, organizing stakeholders, and working with UNITE leadership to represent the RPA to members, university administrators, and the community at-large. Coordinating and scheduling meetings, travels, and other items for RPA leaders along with daily financial transactions and monthly finance and budget reconciliations will be included in the duties of the Administrative Coordinator II.

The Administrative Coordinator II will work closely with the Assistant Vice President for Research (Dr. Danelle Stevens-Watkins) and Associate Vice President for Research (Dr. Nancy Schoenberg) as well as university administrators, faculty, postdoctoral scholars, students, and prominent scholars from across the nation.
