To coordinate the efficient purchasing requests of assigned equipment, supplies and services for Health Sciences Division through the application of relevant laws, regulations and purchasing procedures, and provide administrative support and assistance.Description of Duties and TasksEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Maintains, verifies and edits various accounting reports and databases.Provides assistance and information to students, the public, and departmental faculty regarding health sciences programs and Audits purchase orders, invoices and quotes for accuracy.Compiles data and prepares reports.Serves as liaison to vendors and Health Sciences Division.Conducts research regarding invoices, general ledger entries, and other issues.Provides assistance with special projects as required.Reviews documents for validity and accuracy of information; files and distributes related paperwork.Enters data into computer systems; compiles documentation, prepares worksheets and generates reports.Provides information and assistance to Health Sciences Division; assists with account information and policies; responds to requests for information within the span of authority.Delivers one-on-one training to Department Chairs with an emphasis on conveying new processes, contract information, or products.Provides assistance with the solicitation process including legal and product research.Coordinates procurement process and purchasing activities with various levels of management.Prepares and enters purchase requisitions and verifies product and source validity, model numbers and item descriptions.Purchases supplies, equipment and services for the Health Sciences Division through Colleague PR entry, Blanket Purchase Orders and P Card.Prepares and submits budget transfer, reimbursement, and travel requests for Health Science Division.Prepares and submits W-9 and Vendor Application for new vendors to Purchasing for Colleague ID assignment.Works with the Dean, Health Sciences to reallocate funding within programs in the Health Sciences Division based on need, historical spending trends. Provides recommendations on how historically unspent funds can provide maximum impact.

Entering data, maintaining files, and performing other clerical duties. Implementing purchasing policies and procedures. Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials. Effective writing skills, including grammar and punctuation. Maintaining data and information tracking systems. Coordinating purchasing activities in relation to equipment, supplies and services. Preferred Work Experience
Progressive work eperience in a purchasing/procurement environment. Required EducationHigh school diploma or educational equivalent.

ACC Benefits OverviewFull-time Faculty and Staffing Table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the College are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment. ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty Only).
