Summary

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is part of the Tulane University Campus Health team of committed professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and wellbeing as a core institutional value through a multidisciplinary, comprehensive approach. This position resides within the Counseling Center (CC) Department, and reports to a therapist team leader. The individual in this position is responsible for providing clinical services and participating in community engagement activities.

As a member of a CC therapist team, the Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides student mental health services, including urgent walk-in assessments, consultations, individual psychotherapy, group therapy and workshops. The individual in this role also assists with outreach such as workshops, tabling events and liaison efforts with students, as well as with the wider Tulane faculty and staff community.  The Licensed Clinical Social Worker participates regularly in Campus Health, therapist team, and CC staff meetings and trainings.

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Social Work degree with current LMSW or LCSW license
  • One year of clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of psychotherapy experience
  • Training and interest in working with multicultural issues and students with diverse identities
  • Experience delivering group interventions
  • Experience working with university students in a college counseling setting
  • Training and experience working with substance abuse issues
