OPS Hourly – Admissions Assistant
Job Description:The Center for Arts in Medicine Admissions Assistant will work 10-15 hours per week, remotely as part of the Marketing, Advising, Recruitment, and Student Services (MARS) team reporting to the CAM admissions and marketing coordinator. This position assists the CAM admissions and marketing coordinator by serving as the first point of contact for all prospective student and current student information and basic admissions inquiries, providing routine guidance and assistance to applicants, students, the university community and the public on all aspects of the Center’s admissions and application processes. This includes answering incoming calls, answering questions or connecting them with individuals who can assist them, coordinating and scheduling appointments, maintaining organized student applicant records, current student records and alumni records in online UF systems. The successful applicant will be reliable, and detail oriented with a strong ability and desire to learn new organizational systems and understand the educational programs offered in the Center. The admissions assistant will also need to communicate with positivity and enthusiasm both verbally and in writing.

Schedule and work location details:
This is an hourly position Monday – Friday 10 - 15 hours/week scheduled between 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The specific schedule of up to 15 hours per week will be negotiated in the search and hiring process.
This position is being offered as remote/flexible work. The duties of this position allow for 100% remote work. No physical presence on campus is required, although a hybrid campus/remote schedule is negotiable.
Expected Salary:$12-$15/hour. Negotiable based on education and experience
Minimum Requirements:- Must have adequate office space/equipment (computer, internet, phone etc) to complete remote duties
- Ability to work 10 - 15 hours per week
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to convey enthusiasm for the program
- Microsoft Excel & Teams proficiency
- Strong written and oral communication skills (especially by phone)
