The Statistical Analyst A position will provide statistical support for biomedical research projects including statistical analyses, data cleaning, write-ups of analyses, and production of tables and graphs for manuscripts and proposals, with oversight by senior BAC team members. The Statistical Analyst A will work with faculty biostatisticians and faculty investigators to develop clinical and experimental study designs and analysis plans. The analyst will develop and document SAS programs to create analysis datasets using efficient SAS programming techniques.
The Biostatistician will perform all of the above duties with a greater level of independence and less direction from senior project management staff.
Responsibilities:
Conduct appropriate statistical analyses for biomedical research
Design, develop, test, implement and document statistical programming in high-level software packages
Document methods and results through memoranda and reports communicating findings to project team members
Develop, document, and maintain analytical data files
Develop design and data analysis plans to support research investigations
Write and edit statistical methods sections of manuscripts and abstracts for presentations and publications
Read and review appropriate biomedical and clinical research literature
Position is contingent upon funding.
Qualifications:
Statistical Analyst A: Bachelor's Degree in biostatistics or statistics and 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree preferred.
Biostatistician: Master’s degree in biostatistics or statistics and 3+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Both levels: Experience with statistical methods related to clinical trials preferred. Ample experience with various programs of languages such SAS, R or STATA for prospective and retrospective projects. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage time effectively to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines. Work to target both independently and within a team environment.
