The basicfunction of this position is to perform custodial duties as required for dailyoperation for assigned building interiors of the college. The custodian position reports to and takesdirection from the Lead Shift Custodian, Facilities Services Supervisor and theBuildings and Grounds Manager.

Coordinate and maintain cleanliness of facilities on campus in such a manner that the best possible image of the college is presented at all times.

Inspect and monitor assigned building(s), checking for cleanliness, restocking restrooms, handling minor emergencies to ensure safety and cleanliness.

Clean interior glass surfaces minimum of twice a month at all buildings or as required.

Assist in furniture moving or set-ups as directed.

Monitor custodial supply inventory and request additional stock as required and verify all inventory is kept in a neat and orderly manner in your assigned area.

Identify and report maintenance problems on campus to the Lead Shift Custodian, Facilities Services Supervisor and/or the Buildings and Grounds Manager.

Snow removal as needed

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

One year of successful employment in a custodial position preferred.

Physical ability to individually lift 35 pounds required.

Ability to communicate effectively required..

Ability to work well independently.
