Job Description:

Bilingual (Spanish and English) Adjunct Faculty in Early Childhood Education

Adjunct instructors are needed for Spring 2021 who are bilingual in Spanish and English to teach courses within the Early Childhood Education Department. Expertise required in working with children from birth to 6 years old in public or private Early Childhood Centers and schools.

All courses in Early Childhood Education will be delivered remotely for Spring 2021.

Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience in care and educational settings with children 0-6 years of age required.
  • Understanding of developmentally practice, Anti-Bias Education, and Emergent Curriculum.
  • Master's degree (M.A., M.S., M.Ed. or MAT in Education, Early Childhood, Psychology, or related field) required.
  • Knowledge of the field of Education and/or Early Childhood Development for broad based teaching responsibilities and assignments across disciplines, as needed.
  • College-level teaching experience preferred; community college teaching experience preferred
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population

Additional Information:

Salary: $1,104.00 per credit hour

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus urban institution, its main campus situated in the historic Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. A second campus is located in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts; five satellites are located in the local communities of Cambridge, Chinatown, Revere, Somerville and Boston’s South End.

Founded in 1973 by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, BHCC enrolls more than 8,100 students in day, evening, weekend, web-based and distance learning courses and programs. The College offers more than 68 associate degree and certificate programs that prepare students for successful employment and transfer to four-year universities.
