Job Description:

The Operations and Information Management department at York College of Pennsylvania is pleased to invite applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Information Technology Management to begin in August 2021. We seek candidates with an interest in teaching a variety of both introductory and upper-level courses in information technology management, cybersecurity, and business analytics, with the potential for also offering graduate classes in our current MBA program and a forthcoming, online Master's in Business Analytics program.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Information Systems and Database Management. York College is a teaching-focused institution, and we seek applicants with genuine interest for both teaching and ongoing scholarly activity, as well as service to the college community. Holding regular office hours, demonstrating an appropriate degree of professional activity (particularly with regard to pedagogy), and attending all meetings relevant to the position is expected.

Requirements:

Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. or DBA in Information Systems, or a closely related discipline, from an AACSB accredited institution by the start of the initial appointment letter period. Consideration will be given to ABD candidates with a defined plan to complete their degree requirements within 12 months of joining. Evidence of research potential is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant industry experience and certifications.
