Manages all aspects of the service, including onboarding of customers, overseeing vendor contracts, coordinating disaster recovery and business continuity and providing overall service administration.

Serves as lead project manager for Mainframe as a Service, including working as the customer liaison, coordinating implementation timetables, providing technical support, and resolving any outstanding service issues.
Monitor environmental systems and building security. Notify appropriate personnel in the event of an equipment failure or breach of security.

Coordinates Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity testing and administration between vendors and customers. In coordination with Compliance Officer, Executive Director, or other appropriate personnel, manages audit responses and tasks, including coordinating vendor involvement in audits.

Directly manages daily relationship with contract vendor for Mainframe as a Service which is responsible for millions of dollars in state transactions. Meet regularly with vendor management to oversee service operations to ensure ongoing service quality and sustainability.

Participates in approved professional development opportunities per NWRDC's policy. Professional development and training is defined as learning undertaken by the employee to maintain and advance their skills, knowledge and competencies, specifically as they relate and add value to the job and workplaceQualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and four years’ experience or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to eight years.

Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts.

Mainframe experience.

Project planning experience.

Knowledge of MVS operating systems and selected systems software.

Ability to utilize and develop programming language and tools within the technology field.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation.

Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures for computer support.

Skill in trouble-shooting NWRDC system software and hardware.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to convey technical information to technical and non- technical users.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to maintain and improve personal and team effectiveness, and foster change and creativity.

Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.Preferred Experience with mainframe z/OS hardware and software.Pay Plan This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.Schedule If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
