Description:

The Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology is currently recruiting for a Research Assistant Professor to perform both wet lab and computational biology research in the regulation of RNA processing with an emphasis on the role of tandem repeat mutations in neurological and neurodevelopmental diseases, including myotonic dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and autism spectrum disorder.


Qualifications:

Must have either PhD, MD or MD/PhD with at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience in RNA biochemistry, bioinformatics and tandem repeat diseases.

Extensive experience in RNA biochemistry and computational approaches to analyzing large genomic and transcriptomic datasets is also required.
