Position:

The College of Health Professions at Towson University invites applications for a full-time Clinical  Coordinator in the Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) master’s degree program to begin in the Spring 2021 semester. The position is a 10-month faculty appointment and has a required summer appointment.  Academic rank as a Clinical Assistant Professor or Associate Professor will be commensurate with qualifications and university promotion and reappointment criteria as they relate to clinical (non-tenured) faculty.

Responsibilities:

The Clinical Coordinator serves as both principal faculty and administrator for the clinical educational experiences for the second-year students. Successful candidates will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and evaluating a rich clinical experience for a  nationally accredited program. This role works closely with the Academic Coordinator, Program Director and faculty to ensure that the internship experiences supplement and enhance student education and clinical competencies.  

Qualifications:

Master’s degree with NCCPA certification and eligibility for licensure in the state of Maryland by the time of appointment. A minimum of two years of clinical or professional experience is required.

The Physician Assistant Studies Program is housed within the Department of Health Sciences in Towson University’s College of Health Professions. One of the oldest PAS programs in the country, it has an Accreditation-Continued status until 2023 and is offered in a joint format with the Community College of Baltimore County (Essex).
