The Criminal Justice Major is unique.  What distinguishes our program is the opportunity for students to specialize in one of five major tracks: Juvenile Justice, Mental Health, Law and Justice, Technology and the Criminal Justice System, and Community Corrections.  Secondly, all criminal justice majors must complete an internship in their senior year.  Students have been placed in police departments, district attorneys’ offices, courts, defense attorneys’ offices, probation departments, county jails, domestic violence units, and juvenile facilities, just to name a few.   The Criminal Justice faculty has diverse teaching and research interests and experiences working in the criminal justice system (see website www.sjcny.edu).

Please submit a letter or application, CV, statement of teaching philosophy, and on-line syllabus, along with 3 references.  If you desire any further information, please contact Dr. Barbara Morrell, bmorrell@sjcny.edu
