Description:
The Tulane Center for Clinical Neurosciences in Downtown New Orleans is recruiting for two Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants, which is a faculty position.
Responsibilities will include night coverage participation in the care of neurological/neurosurgical patients in the Neurocritical Care Unit at Tulane Medical Center. Tulane is seeking two advanced practice providers for nighttime coverage Monday - Thursday and Friday - Sunday. Candidate will be expected to actively participate in administrative activity including institutional and departmental committees, active participation in departmental conferences such as Neurosurgery Grand Rounds, Morbidity & Mortality Conference, and faculty meetings.
Qualifications:
Master of Science in nursing. Certified adult or family nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority. Work experience with patients in a hospital/clinic setting is essential.
Required - Current Certified Physician Assistant license or State of Louisiana License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority as outlined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
