The Marketing Director, as a member of the School of Music / Koger Center for the Arts marcomm team, will help create and implement a dynamic marketing/branding strategy that aligns with the University’s overarching branding and marketing strategies. This will be done through management of website content and a social media strategy that allows the School of Music to connect with audiences, alumni, donors, and current and prospective students.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer a degree in writing, journalism, speech communications and/or the performing arts. Experience with web-based content management systems; experience in an academic environment; experience managing social media accounts for business or arts organizations. Background in music and the ability to translate musical information to various audiences preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Excellent writing and communications skills. Demonstrated history of teamwork. Excellent command of grammar and AP style.
