Postdoctoral Fellowship available to conduct research on two NIH-funded Center grants aimed at assessing the effects of exposure to environment pollutants and dietary supplements on epigenome, genome, transcriptome and microbiome in inflammatory diseases and cancer in the lab of Dr. Mitzi Nagarkatti, SmartState Endowed Chair of Cancer Drug Discovery, Carolina Distinguished Professor, and Chair of the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology. Research also involves studies on immunomodulation in COVID-19 and PTSD patients. As a Post-Doctoral Fellow, responsibilities include performing high-quality research utilizing -omics technology, updating principal investigators on data generated, design of ongoing experiments, and future research directions. Maintains accurate and detailed records of laboratory experiments and presents these in informal laboratory discussions, group meetings, formal symposia and publications. Assists in training other individuals in the laboratory.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Requires a Ph.D. in any biomedical sciences including Immunology, Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or other related discipline.Preferred Qualifications

Knowledgeable of hazards of laboratory activities and related safety practices, skilled in setting up, care and use of laboratory equipment.
