Requirements

Georgetown University's Center for Global Health Practice and Impact (CGHPI) is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Program Coordinator (SPC) to coordinate and help manage its diverse portfolio of externally-funded programs.

The Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for providing program coordination and management for CGHPI, and closely monitors, analyses, organizes, and reports on the use of CGHPI program funds, manages contractor and vendor engagement, and works with technical teams to ensure alignment with stated program activities and submitted budgets. The Senior Program Coordinator:
  • conducts partner engagement for the technical program teams based at CGHPI and with external partners toensure achievement of program deliverables and overall goals.
  • works across several externally funded programs, including those funded by the US government, private foundations, corporations, and international organizations.
  • reports to the Executive Director, and works closely with CGHPI's operational and technical program teams.
  • participates in strategic and programmatic financial management to ensure that programmatic and financial deliverables, targets, and goals are being achieved.


The SPC is also responsible for working with CGHPI's finance manager and programmatic grant managers to ensure effective grant management and accurate monthly financial reconciliation.

The SPC will report to the Executive Director and work closely with CGHPI's operational team and technical teams on assigned external projects. Additionally, in their role, the SPC will manage contractor and vendor relationships, and will also interact with project partners outside of Georgetown University to ensure successful implementation of stated project activities and deliverables.

Qualifications
  • At least 3-5 years of program coordination experience, including financial and office management, preferably in a university or other non-profit organization
  • Experience with grants management required
  • Experience with vendor/contractor engagement required
  • Experience with international partners required; demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of government and civil society counterparts, private sector, donor, and global partners
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Time management and job prioritization skills. Strong orientation to detail and deadlines. Ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures, develop innovative approaches and adapt to changes in policies and technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Relevant advanced degree such as MBA or other finance or accounting credentials preferred.
