Assisting the Campus Safety and Transportation and Parking department with maintaining the University Fleet which includes vans, trucks, shuttles, light towers and carts. Programing of the University kiosks. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the work environment. Assisting with dispatch when there is no dispatcher.

Specific Duties

Maintains and updates the Fleet management program with new vehicle information, maintenance logs and prints requested reports. Schedules and maintains all University owned vehicles including oil changes, repairs and warranty work. Provides drivers training for all University vehicles including behind the wheel cart training. Assists with the purchasing of new University vehicles. Assists with relocation of all University vehicles. Assist with parking permits and dispatch center when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid Drivers license
Customer Service Skills
Well organized
Must know Word and Excel

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:

One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.

University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.

In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
