Case Western Reserve University, Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a junior-level faculty position: Director of Simulation Education. This is a non-tenure track position at the rank of Instructor, with time split equally between administrative and reaching duties. This position is a full-time academic position within the confines of the Cleveland, OH-based Master of Science in Anesthesia Program of Case Western Reserve University.

Responsibilities and Duties: The Director of Simulation Education is responsible for coordinating the teaching responsibilities of MSA Program faculty for all simulation courses, including directly teaching several courses. The person in this position will take an active role in all simulation activities, including course mapping, simulation curriculum development, development of simulation faculty, and teaching in the simulation lab. The Director will provide substantive guidance for the overall simulation program design and curriculum development for the MSA Program in Cleveland, OH. This person will ensure that activities comply with university, school, and program policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: Qualified applicants must be a certified anesthesiologist assistant (CAA) with a graduate degree and actively practicing as an CAA in a clinical setting. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience, with the ideal candidate possessing 7 or more years teaching experience. Excellent management, clinical, education, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary.
