This is a temporary position up to 11 months.
Manage day to day facilities projects and other assigned activities for the NC State Veterinary Hospital. Duties include, but not limited to, serving as a building liaison and point of contact for Facilities and external contractors. Hands on responsibilities include basic maintenance and upkeep of the facility property such as furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

High school graduate/equivalent (GED)
Graduate of a technical or trade school/certifications
Experience as a facilities liaison
Experience managing facilities related projects
Hands on experience in carpentry

Department Required Skills

Project management, effective communication skills, strong organizational skills, effective time management and carpentry skills.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and move higher weights with assistance.
Able to operate machinery such as a fork lift and tractor.
Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and the ability to read and understand blue prints/building codes.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Facilities management certification
Project management certification
Experience as a building liaison in a clinical setting
Fork lift certified
