General Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Associate Director of Enrollment Marketing will work in support of the Division of Enrollment Management’s overall enrollment strategy for both new and continuing students. The Associate Director will help develop and execute multiple marketing campaigns for a broad spectrum of student types including, but not limited to, first-year, transfer, international, continuing, and veteran students. The incumbent requires strong creative and communication competencies and a general understanding of the enrollment process from prospective student to commencement.

Examples of Duties:

Develops marketing, communications and promotional plans and materials to recruit and yield first-year, transfer and international students, including email, printed material, social media content, digital advertising, and website managementCollaborates with various university constituents, as well as departments within the Division of Enrollment Management to develop strategic and integrated marketing campaigns for undergraduate prospective students and continuing studentsManages the day-to-day content development (write, edit, proof, design), execution and measurement, and uses data and industry best practices to recommend ways to optimize campaigns in order to meet stated enrollment goalsActively utilizes CRM system for the purpose of developing email and SMS campaigns, and analyzing campaign resultsIdentifies KPIs and metrics that support assessment and progress towards goals and objectives set by the Division of Enrollment Management; provides regular and ad hoc reports with insights and recommendations Serves as the enrollment marketing liaison to various recruitment teams and campus partners, as well as external vendors/partners, and leads the strategic development, design, execution, analysis, and management of multiple communication campaignsActively seek out student, faculty, alumni, and staff stories that support the strategic messages that are central to both university and divisional marketing/brandingEmploys a wide range of media including email, social media, web, video, and print to ensure that all forms of media are fully and effectively utilized and coordinated with all campaignsStays abreast of industry developments, regulations and technology – in the fields of both higher education and advertising/marketing – to maintain professional competence, knowledge and skillsServe on ad-hoc committees as required;Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s degree preferred, and a minimum of three to five (3-5) years in managing communication projects and/or marketing campaigns. Demonstrated experience in professional level writing (i.e. marketing copywriting, journalism writing, advertising copywriting. Familiarity with CRM systems and basic web editing abilities required. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or a similar product and video post-production, preferred.
