Georgia State University’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL - cetl.gsu.edu) is looking for a part-time, skilled and diverse IT Support Specialist, Associate. This position will assist in the maintenance and operations of the Technology Labs and other resources at the Downtown Atlanta Campus along with some operational duties.
The scope of responsibilities for this position will include these essential duties but is not limited to the following,
- Assisting in other operational duties including handling resources and customer requests, customer communication via shared email, applying fines and ensuring that policies and procedures for labs and learning spaces are followed.
- Direct student and temporary employee support of IT/AV enabled spaces including monitoring daily reports and performance management with student and part time workers.
- Facilitate daily operations of IIT computer and media labs. Report status of technology and customer issues through various tools including as the current IT service management tool, equipment/inventory management system, email, and other communication tools.
- Provide support for Learning environments. Interact with a wide range of technical experts to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Support resolution of help tickets for technology requests or incident reports.
- Tracking, procurement and maintenance of service usage, supplies and inventory lists. Perform other related duties as assigned. Some moderate to heavy lifting may be required. Flexible and evening hours may be required Regular travel to satellite campus.
QualificationsBachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

The university announced in April 2008 that is will begin Division I-AA football in 2010.
