Advertised Job Summary:

The Department of Psychology at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track faculty position in the area of neuroscience of autism and neurodevelopmental disorders with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2021.

This position is part of a new and exciting university-wide initiative to enhance existing expertise in autism and neurodevelopmental disorders and establish a University of South Carolina Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (USCAND) Center of Excellence that accelerates interdisciplinary efforts in basic, clinical, and intervention research and education in autism and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Required Education and Experience:

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or an M.D., and will have completed post-doctoral training in a relevant area of neuroscience or psychological sciences.

Preferred Qualifications:

This individual must have an independent, extramurally-funded research program. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach courses appropriate to their area of expertise at the undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to departmental and university service.
