Part-time Lecturer - American Sign Language
With the commencement of the Fall 2018 semester, the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) began offering a minor in American Sign Language Interpreting (ASLI). Preliminary enrollment figures appear to indicate that the ASLI minor is in great demand as we have already filled all classes to capacity and have students on waitlists. We would like to hire a number of part-time ASL instructors to help accommodate the large number of students who want to take ASLI as a minor. UTRGV faculty will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to student success and to advancing the university, college, and program missions, as well as a commitment to UTRGV’s strategic plan, vision, mission, values and core priorities.
