Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE) is seeking an Online Program Assistant to support our efforts in curriculum planning and maintenance for online degree programs.

The general duties for this position include assisting with the development and organization of online degree programs and processes, maintaining course audits, compliance with state and university standards for online programs, providing administrative support, and other duties as assigned. Also responsible for assisting the Associate Executive Director with the coordination of multiple eLearning projects/tasks.

FAU's Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE) is a rapidly changing, high-paced, collaborative environment. Duties and work may change with little notice. Changes in the above duties are at the discretion of the supervisor.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist the Associate Executive Director with online program initiatives.
  • Assist with accurate and reliable online program audits of courses.
  • Assist with inter-department communication for online programs.
  • Create reports for online program data collection for national, state and university reports.
  • Assist the online program team in the development of presentation materials, flyers, and handouts.
  • Work with departments to communicate the Center for Online and Continuing Education’s services and offerings.
  • Assist in implementing and identifying components of quality online programs for certification.
  • Document and store files in a shared location.
  • Assist with file organization for online programs.
  • Attend, take notes, and review information from university and departmental meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Management, Public Administration, Public Management, Business, or related and at least one year of clerical experience required.

Excellent skills in all Microsoft products including Excel using pivot tables and data reporting.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Excellent research, writing and proofreading skills

Outstanding time management skills.

Ability to quickly adapt and accurately respond to changing priorities.

Preferred:
Knowledge of university operations.

Knowledge of business analytical tools.

Microsoft 365 certified.

Excellent use of Google Drive products.

Knowledge of the Canvas LMS.

Salary:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
