The University of North Georgia is currently accepeting applications for Basic Life Support Instructors in the Professional and Continuing Education department on the Gainesville campus. The Basic Life Support Instructor will assist in developing students' BLS skills and knowledge of CPR. The Instructor will be responsible for providing training, instruction, and support in Basic Life Support (CPR) according to American Heart Association standards. The Basic Life Support Instructor must have certification by the American Heart Association, good verbal communication skills and excellent practical knowledge of CPR. Instructor is responsible for providing all training equipment to include adult and child mannequins and AEDs. The instructor shall also be responsible for preparing and completing necessary documentation to obtain student’s BLS cards. There are multiple BLS instructor positions available.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The Basic Life Support Instructor will:

  • Provide students the necessary tools needed to learn or enhance their skills in BLS (CPR).
  • Assess students' CPR skills, knowledge, and/or abilities pertaining to BLS (CPR)
  • Be responsible for preparing and completing necessary documentation to obtain student’s BLS cards.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have good verbal communication skills and working knowledge of CPR.
Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Previously instructed students in BLS (CPR)
  • Valid BLS (CPR) certification by the American Heart Association.
