    The Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (BPEI) Executive Director of Satellite Practice at Palm Beach Gardens and Naples is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall clinical and business operations for the medical group and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in compliance with regulatory standards. Participates in the development and implementation of the Institute’s mission, vision, and values.

    Collaborates with BPEI leadership, Satellite Medical Directors and ASC Anesthesia Leads to optimize the growth and performance as measured by financial statements, patient volume, operational benchmarks, and patient experience surveys. Assure compliance with all Federal and State regulations and laws.

    Plans strategic and fiscal goals and objectives for the practice and ASCs by evaluating current operations and future growth opportunities and needs, establishing priorities, and identifying fiscal and human resource needs for future development.

    Coordinates service integration, daily operations for the provision of quality care, patient safety, infection control, excellent service delivery, human resources, and facilities management. Develops efficient and effective collaborative relationships among management, faculty, and staff by emphasizing positive communication promoted during regular meetings.

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required, Master’s Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment overseeing multiple locations is required.
    • Ophthalmology outpatient practice and ASC experience is required.
    • Academic organization experience is preferred.

      Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
