Christian Brothers University (CBU) seeks an innovative, collaborative and experienced servant-leader to join the University as its next Director of Physician Assistant Studies. Based on critical thinking, hands-on experience, and ethical context, CBU prepares students for professional careers and lives of moral responsibility and constructive community involvement. A Catholic university in the student-centered tradition of the De La Salle Christian Brothers, CBU is situated on 75 beautiful wooded acres in Memphis, TN, ideally located close to Memphis' world famous downtown and the region's remarkable array of world-class medical centers.

CBU's Physician Assistant Studies program emphasizes evidence-based primary care and preventive medicine, the provision of health care to the medically underserved, and the use of information technology in medicine. The program promotes interdisciplinary team care, patient advocacy, and the delivery of primary health care for all patients.

The Director will be responsible for the P.A. Studies program's organization, administration, fiscal management, ongoing review and assessment, planning and development, and accreditation with ARC-PA. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Sciences, the Director will have the unique opportunity to work inter-disciplinarily across the School, collaboratively with the University's leadership team, and externally with the program's Advisory Board and healthcare partners, to promote and grow the program.

Key qualifications include:

  • At least three years of full-time higher education experience in the health professions.
  • Hold current or emeritus NCCPA certification status.
