The Salesforce EDA Developer is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and day-to-day administration of the Salesforce application, specifically using the Education Data Architecture, Pardot, and Community in addition to other Salesforce components. This position works across functional areas to ensure alignment with workflow processes, and integrations with other tools, as well as integrations with integration platforms, including Boomi. The Salesforce EDA Developer works in both agile and waterfall project teams to ensure flexibility, and is responsible for the stability and effectiveness of the system, along with the other Salesforce developers. The strategic use of Salesforce EDA is to ensure the use of configurations, and only develop custom code.

Job Responsibilities

Administer Salesforce EDA, support current state across the lifecycle while simultaneously improving workflow to meet new and emerging business requirements. Write APIs as needed, recommend, test, and implement configurations and Salesforce plugins as necessary. Guide team efforts by being the EDA subject matter expert on the team, ensuring appropriate configurations and minimizing any customizations. (30%)

Envision, advise on, and implement efficient business processes across non-credit and for-credit online and in-person programming for Online and Continuing Education. Configure workflow. Document the environment. Create testing plans and direct testing, reporting and AQ. (25%)

Work with diverse sets of stakeholders to implement the full range of Salesforce products with the EDA model to automate interactions and communications. Work to configure a student-facing application for fully online programs across campuses utilizing Salesforce Community. Utilize Pardot to implement marketing campaigns. Create reports and dashboards for the team to action on in support of student recruitment, retention, and success. (25%)

Support the professional development of other team members by advising and documenting on the use of EDA. Maintain high-level currency related to Salesforce and associated technologies. Suggest new tecnologies for implementation related to CRM or automation. Other duties as assigned. (20%)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience

  • Expertise in Salesforce EDA
  • Expertise in Salesforce Community
  • Experience or knowledge of Pardot
  • Ability to write APIs
  • Experience with the use of integration platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience - EDA consultant SF certification; community consultant SF certification
  • Previous experience at an institution of higher education as a Salesforce Developer or Administrator
  • Experience with Slate, Dell Boomi, AWS, and/or Moodle

Special or Physical Qualifications

  • Salesforce Architect or Developer
  • 2 or more of Salesforce certifications under the "Architect" or "Developer" categories
