$7.25 per Hour for no more than 15 Hours per week

Required:

Students should have knowledge of a computer.

Knowledge of The Adobe Suite – Premiere and After Effects for video, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, is helpful but not necessary.

Interest and desire to create written, video, and still content for SRSU.

Any background and experience in video/photo editing, writing, interviews is helpful but not required.

Become familiar with Adobe Suite.

Primary Responsibilities:

Students will work in a production company style environment.
They will learn how to look for stories, create stories from concept to release, learn to capture video and edit, and have the opportunity to have their work published through university channels. Duties also include logging audio and video, updating social media accounts, finding content to post, and assisting Office of University Communications staff with other various needs and requests.

The goal of covering campus activities will be an important part of leaving the office. Students and office will offer flexibility to limit hours, but being able to attend events that may occur in evenings or on weekends is an important aspect.

When covering stories/events, dress will be required to suit the occasion of the event.

Other Information:

Must be able to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 to 6 and work events.

Working in a production company environment will expose students to real life environments of constantly moving and strict deadlines.

Students will be able to see many other aspects of university life, and be able to demonstrate their creative side.
