Enhances and expands community-based partnerships with organizations committed to community service by responding to identified needs, interests, and expectations of community members and organizations by providing non-credit instruction and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Assesses the needs of the community to identify educational, civic, recreational and cultural opportunities for service
•Oversees the development, administration, delivery and assessment of programs and services provided in response to identified needs
•Develops collaborative partnerships with community leaders and organizations to maintain and manage the provided learning opportunities
•Serves as an advocate and community resource
•Keeps up-to-date on trends and developments in community engagement that relates to the communities served
•Directs the marketing efforts to increase awareness and to promote programs and services to the community
•Develops and implements standards and procedures that ensure consistent daily operations and compliance with related College policies
•Recruits, mentors, and manages the performance of qualified staff
•Employs qualified instructors with the knowledge or skills specific to their topic of instruction
•Works collaboratively with academic and student development personnel and external partners to develop and provide quality instruction and service in response to identified community needs
•Maintains strong working relationships with College academic faculty and leaders
•Confers and plans with student recruitment staff to implement activities that effectively support the College’s recruitment efforts
•Accumulates and analyzes data and develops reports demonstrating the effectiveness of programs and services provided
•Demonstrates continued professional growth as evidenced by involvement in professional associations and continuing education
•Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
•Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
•Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
•Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

•Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
•Five (5) years of progressive and relevant experience in a higher education or non-profit organization
•Supervisory experience

Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

•Proficiency in developing and delivering non-credit programs and services for school-age children, adults, seniors, and other target populations
•Experience in organizing community members and groups to resolve concerns using community-based solutions
•Leadership in creating unique pathways to and through a college for community members
•Entrepreneurial experience
•Experience working collaboratively with others

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

•Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
•Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
