This is a full time Assistant Professor position to conduct clinical duties and research collaboration with the Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine. The candidate's primary responsibility will be to conduct clinical research in the area of pulmonary sciences and critical care medicine. Additional research responsibilities include writing papers for publications and submitting grant applications to obtain extramural research funding. Your time will be dedicated to clinical responsibilities, which are defined on an ongoing basis at the direction of the Associate Director of Clinical Affairs; and will be based on Inpatient/Outpatient needs.

Clinical responsibilities, collaboration with PIs & CO-PIs on a variety of projects in the area of Improving the Care of Patients with Pulmonary Diseases and in the area of Critical Care and Lung Transplantation.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

    Candidate must have an M.D. and PhD degree.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Collaborate with the principal and co-investigators on a variety of projects in the area of improving the Care of Patients with Pulmonary Diseases and in the area of Critical CarePrepare original research manuscripts and present research in a variety of local, national and international forumsClinical responsibilities will include attending in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and as well as for the inpatient Pulmonary Consultation service and bimonthly service in the pulmonary outpatient clinic.
