About This Position
The Department of Human Genetics at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Clinical Research Coordinator. The Sr. Clinical Research Coordinator oversees the compilation, registration, and submission of research data and monitors study compliance with research protocols. Further, the Sr. Clinical Research Coordinator assists in coordinating research studies, developing protocols, and maintaining reporting needs per applicable rules and regulations.
The duties and responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:
Meets with study participants to explain the purpose of the study and study procedures and obtains informed consent.
Assists with the preparation and monitoring of IRB documents and coordinates all assessment and patient contact activity.
Ensures that relevant protocols are implemented in a rigorous fashion and supervises the implementation of data quality assurance procedures.
Assists with accessioning and distribution of research samples and follows up with test results.
Assists in phenotypic evaluation of participants.
Assists with skin biopsies.
Collects blood samples from participants.
Bachelor's Degree in a basic science field of study with at least five years of relevant experience. Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. Commitment to the University’s core values. Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
